Animals
No animals are permitted except for working-assistance dogs.
We have a range of different animals for our guests to enjoy at their own risk. Please latch all gates behind you to keep the
animals safe. Please do not enter the deer enclosure. Children must be supervised at all times including around the fish ponds. Mistreatment of the animals will not be tolerated.
St Leonards Vineyard Cottages has two resident dogs and a cat. Please let us know if you would prefer them to be kept away during your stay.
Booking policy
All bookings will be instantly confirmed at the time of booking. A 10% deposit is required to be paid at the time of booking, with full payment to be made at check-in.
We reserve the right to limit the number of people in any of our cottages due to fire restrictions.
All guests must refrain from cooking anything inside our cottages that can leave a lingering smell (curries, fish etc.).
Should this occur, an airing out fee will apply. Any damage to the property or cottages will be charged to the guest’s credit
card, plus a charge for any loss of income for the time the unit is unrentable, if applicable. This includes, but is not limited
to, any hazardous soiling of the premises, e.g. blood or body fluids.
St Leonards Vineyard Cottages reserves the right to cancel a guest’s reservation if they are unable to comply with this
policy.
Cancellations
8+ days prior to arrival No charge/full refund if prepaid
0-7 days prior to arrival 100% tariff charge
Whole property bookings (4 cottages)
30+ days prior to arrival No charge/full refund if prepaid
1-30 days prior to arrival 100% tariff charge
If you have booked through an OTA (ie: Booking.com, Expedia, Wotif, Agoda etc) any amendments or cancellations to your booking must be made through their booking site as per the terms and conditions you accepted when you made the booking through their site.
Failure to turn up will incur a cancellation fee of the total value of the reservation.
Should you reschedule, depending on room availability there may be a rate difference.
Deposits are non-refundable. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover any unforeseen circumstances.
In the event of non-payment, St Leonards Vineyard Cottages reserves the right to charge the guarantor’s credit card (supplied at the time of reservation).
Cancellations due to Government-imposed travel bans
If your travel plans are interrupted due to Government- imposed travel bans or border closures, you are welcome
to transfer your booking to a later date within the next 12 months with no transfer fee.
Depending on cottage availability and intended travel season, differences in room rate or cottage type may apply as at the
date of rebooking. Otherwise our standard cancellation policy applies.
Check in/out
Check-in is from 3pm. Please advise your approximate arrival time when making your reservation. Check-out is before 10am on day of departure.
Early check-ins/late check-outs are not guaranteed and must be pre-arranged. Unarranged late check-outs will incur a fee
of NZD150.
Children
Children are welcome. Children above the age of 1 at time of arrival are charged full rate. A portable cot and jolly jumper
are available to reserve at time of booking.
Persons under the age of 18 years may not occupy a cottage on their own unless accompanied by parents or legal guardian staying at St Leonards, who have given permission and accept full and final responsibility.
Pool and spa area
Our pool area is available for our guests to enjoy at their own risk.
The heated salt water pool is open from November – April and closes at 10pm daily.
The spa pool is available year-round and closes at 10pm daily.
Children must be accompanied at all times. Please no diving or glass in the pool area.
Quiet time
Please keep noise to a minimum after 10pm.
Reception hours
8:30am – 6pm, 7 days a week.
If arriving outside of these hours please contact us during office hours to make arrangements.
Smoking and vaping
Smoking and vaping is strictly not permitted inside any of the cottages or shared outdoor facilities (Pool area, Tennis court, Animals etc.). Should guests smoke in any of the cottages, an airing out fee will apply. Extreme care is to be taken if smoking or vaping outdoors, particularly during the dry summer season.
Guests are responsible for any costs, damage, or liability arising as a result of smoking. This includes, but is not limited to, call-out fees from the NZ Fire Service, and damage to property and stock.
